Data Engineer – Pricing Analytics

About the role

Join Free2move’s Pricing Analytics team as a Data Engineer, owning the full lifecycle of data products that power real‑time pricing for millions of users across a global mobility platform.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Data Scientists to productionise state‑of‑the‑art pricing algorithms.
• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines within the Pricing Analytics scope.
• Architect systems to solve complex, loosely defined problems and optimise ML model performance.
• Lead cross‑functional efforts to scale ML infrastructure for development, training, and deployment.
• Manage the infrastructure supporting pricing algorithms, ensuring reliability and performance.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering or a related quantitative field.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.

Required skills

• Expert‑level SQL and Python.
• Data modeling with dbt (Kimball methodology, dimensional modeling, testing, lineage).
• Databricks ecosystem (Delta Lake, PySpark, Unity Catalog, SQL Endpoints, Serverless compute).
• AWS services (S3, IAM, KMS, DataSync).
• Workflow orchestration with Apache Airflow (or MWAA).
• Containerisation and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• CI/CD pipelines (Git, GitHub Actions, Terraform).
• Dashboarding with Tableau, PowerBI or Databricks SQL Dashboards.
• Experience with AI‑assisted development tools (Claude, Databricks AI).
• Knowledge of GDPR compliance and PII masking.
