About the role

We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our Finance team in Nantes. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of US GAAP reporting, statutory filings, and supporting the broader finance transformation agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Manage US GAAP transactions in the General Ledger, including monthly and annual close activities.
• Review closing entries such as fixed assets, rebates, cash, depreciation, provisions, payroll, and bonuses.
• Oversee stock provisions and other accounting provisions.
• Guarantee the reliability of financial results and balance‑sheet positions, coordinating with local accountants and Global Controllership.
• Conduct quarterly risk‑based balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and reconciliations.
• Assist with statutory reporting, including preparation of the FEC and US GAAP vs. local standards reconciliations.
• Calculate annual deferred tax and support local tax obligations (DAS2, 2257, withholding).
• Provide ad‑hoc support to Finance, Commercial, and Operations teams and contribute to inter‑company reconciliations.
• Participate in finance transformation projects, identifying automation opportunities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 5 years of experience in general accounting, audit, or financial control.
• International or multi‑entity exposure is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of statutory accounting and US GAAP.
• Fluent French and professional English.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• ERP experience (SAP or Oracle).
• US GAAP expertise.
