Business Operations Lead (Fintech)

About the role

We are seeking an exceptional operator who thrives in fast‑moving, high‑growth environments and enjoys solving complex operational challenges. You will own and scale the company’s operational backbone across financial, people, customer, and regulatory functions, working closely with the leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Build and oversee scalable financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash management, vendor payments, and operational reporting.
• Own the employee lifecycle from hiring through onboarding and day‑to‑day people operations, developing internal processes, policies, and operating rhythms.
• Design and improve customer onboarding and operational workflows, ensure exceptional experiences, and lead operational escalations.
• Coordinate regulatory filings, reporting obligations, audits, and compliance initiatives, partnering with legal and compliance to operationalise requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in a high‑growth, venture‑backed startup, preferably in a regulated fintech, payments, banking or financial infrastructure environment.
• Strong ownership mindset with a bias for action and a passion for building processes and scalable systems from scratch.
• Excellent project‑management and organizational skills, able to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
• Analytical problem‑solving abilities with outstanding attention to detail and comfort operating in ambiguity.
