Artificial Intelligence Software Specialist (AI & Embedded)

About the role

Join Airbus UpNext in Marignane to develop high‑performance AI and embedded software for next‑generation aircraft and defence systems. You will work on a limited‑term project that runs until the end of flight‑test milestones in December 2027, combining cutting‑edge perception sensors with real‑time onboard processing.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, train, fine‑tune and deploy AI models for environment perception, 3D point‑cloud processing and computer‑vision tasks.
• Manage and structure large video, camera and LiDAR datasets for model training.
• Adapt and optimise AI models to run on onboard hardware under strict real‑time constraints.
• Develop, maintain and optimise robust C/C++ components for sensor acquisition, communication interfaces and demonstrator logic.
• Lead hardware/software integration, design testing strategies and validate features during flight tests.
• Participate in Agile sprint sessions, evaluating technical ideas for feasibility and scalability.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (aerospace, computer science, AI or applied mathematics) with a strong innovative mindset.
• Hands‑on experience with camera and LiDAR sensor applications.
• Proficiency in French and English for negotiation and documentation.

Required skills

• C and C++ programming for embedded systems.
• Machine Learning and Computer Vision techniques.

• LiDAR and camera sensor integration.
• Experience with Hailo AI accelerators or similar edge AI hardware.
• Embedded software development, debugging and tooling.
