Application Designer (m/f/d) - French Calendar, CET Hours

About the role

Allianz Services is looking for an experienced Application Designer to join its Agile Delivery Centre. The role covers designing, developing and maintaining high-quality applications, with a strong focus on business analysis, functional expertise and technical design. It involves working with diverse stakeholders to deliver compliant, innovative solutions across the full application lifecycle. The position requires fluency in French and English, follows the French calendar and works in CET hours.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop applications: propose business process simplifications, formalize requirements and user stories, define use cases and test strategy, prototype and configure solutions, and provide functional and technical expertise for maintenance and support
• Analyse solution compliance with enterprise strategy, regulations, security rules and architecture, and map, document and maintain developments in a knowledge base
• Business analysis: model and document end-to-end solutions, lead process design from requirements to implementation, and prepare user guides, process flows and change management materials
• Work in Agile frameworks (SAFe/Scrum), facilitate ceremonies, use Jira, Confluence and ServiceNow, plan workloads and report on squad progress
• Troubleshoot production incidents, fix bugs and implement user-requested enhancements, documenting resolutions in the knowledge base

Required profile

• Fluent in French and English (written and spoken)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills, able to work autonomously with distributed teams
• Collaborative leadership and excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders
• Preferred: understanding of Solvency II regulations

Required skills

• Willis Towers Watson tools or similar platforms (e.g. Risk Agility FM)
• SAS Base, SAS Macros, SAS SQL, SAS Enterprise Guide; Python, PySpark, Spark and SQL
• Data modelling tools such as dbt and version control (Git/GitHub)
• Familiarity with Azure, Databricks and deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions / GitLab CI/CD)
• Operating systems (Windows, Unix), virtualization (Citrix, VMware) and schedulers (HPC / VTOM)
