Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (EASA B1) – Toulouse

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (EASA B1) to join the Customer Care Centre Working Party Team in Toulouse, France. The role involves overseeing aircraft repair projects from planning through embodiment and release to service, acting in a certifying capacity and coordinating with customers and Airbus teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage team competencies and allocate work for up to 30‑60 personnel from the Working Party core team or manufacturing units.
• Carry out inspections and certify aircraft repair tasks, establishing Working Party files and issuing Certificates of Release to Service in line with EASA/FAR Part 145.
• Ensure airworthiness of the aircraft for the work performed and maintain compliance with Airbus 145 procedures.
• Manage on‑site customers and support programs in advisory roles, develop tools, service bulletins and cross‑project collaborations.
• Support airlines and MROs in troubleshooting, repair embodiment and pre‑SB production support.

Required profile

• EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License Category B1 (mandatory; B2 and C a plus).
• Minimum five years of certifying experience in a supervisory role with at least two current Airbus type ratings in B1.
• Advanced English proficiency; additional languages (French, German, Spanish) advantageous.
• Strong safety mindset for people and product and ability to build good customer relationships.
• Experience in structural repair activities such as heavy maintenance, manufacture or cargo conversion; willingness to travel extensively on short notice.

Required skills

• EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License (Category B1).
• Airbus type rating (minimum two current B1 ratings).
• Knowledge of EASA/FAR Part 145 regulations.
• Experience with structural repair and heavy maintenance procedures.
• Ability to certify aircraft repair tasks and issue Certificates of Release to Service.
