Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Technology Specialist

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Technology Specialist to join the Extended Enterprise product line in Marignane. You will support the design, implementation and operation of the VDI (also called VAD – Virtual Apps & Desktop) platform that serves both 2D and 3D engineering use cases across the company and its ecosystem of suppliers, partners and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and deliver VDI solutions in collaboration with the Extended Enterprise solution architect and VDI product manager.
• Participate in both project‑based deployments and day‑to‑day run‑time activities, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and security policies.
• Support the transformation of the IT environment for the Product Life‑Cycle Management (PLM) community, including 3DExperience and CATIA workloads.
• Maintain and optimise the VDI infrastructure to meet performance, availability and scalability requirements.
• Document configurations, procedures and best practices for the VDI platform.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure technologies and virtual application delivery.
• Familiarity with enterprise‑grade 2D and 3D engineering environments.
• Ability to work in a multifunctional, collaborative team and communicate with architects and product managers.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a focus on security and service quality.
