Sr. Manager, Field Engineering Qatar & Africa

About the role

Databricks is looking for a Senior Manager, Field Engineering for the Qatar and Africa markets. You will lead a team of technical pre-sales Solutions Architects and Solutions Engineers, partnering with the sales organisation to drive revenue while coaching sales and pre-sales teams to work together. The location for the role is either Paris or London.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, mentor and grow the pre-sales team for the Qatar and Africa markets
• Build a motivated, collaborative culture in a fast-growing team
• Support higher return on investment from sales involvement and ensure solution and value-based selling
• Show an understanding of the needs and revenue potential of accounts in the assigned region
• Engage with key customer executives to build and strengthen strategic partnerships
• Align with partners and internal services to secure implementation strategies within accounts
• Build Databricks' brand as part of the Leadership team, working with Marketing and Sales

Required profile

• Experience managing a team of successful Big Data, Cloud or SaaS professionals
• Experience in consumption-based business environments
• Experience mentoring and scaling technical teams
• Technical or consulting background in Data Engineering, database technologies or Data Science
• Ability to partner with Sales and other cross-functional leaders
• Strong communication skills
