Senior Platform Engineer

About the role

Sparteo builds AI-powered advertising technologies on its own bare-metal infrastructure, with Kubernetes at scale and a self-managed network. As Senior Platform Engineer, you will design, operate and scale the platform that underpins all Sparteo products, take ownership of key parts of the stack, lead architecture decisions and help the team grow.

Key responsibilities

• Kubernetes platform: design, implement and operate the platform, including networking, ingress, GitOps and configuration management
• Automation: own CI/CD pipelines and packaging, from provisioning to deployment
• Observability: run the observability stack with large-scale metrics and log management
• Reliability: own runbooks and the alerting catalog so the platform stays reliable and on-call is actionable
• Data infrastructure: operate distributed storage, analytical and relational databases and in-memory datastores
• Physical infrastructure: scale servers, racks and network capacity, and contribute to cost optimization
• International expansion: take part in expanding infrastructure in the US
• Lead architecture decisions and mentor junior team members

Required profile

• 5+ years in infrastructure / DevOps, with solid production Kubernetes experience, ideally on bare metal
• Strong networking fundamentals: BGP, L2/L3, load balancing
• Fluent English (written and spoken); French is a plus
• Open to AI-assisted tooling in daily workflows

Required skills

• Nice to have: distributed storage or large-scale databases
• Nice to have: low-level debugging at kernel, network and hardware level
