People Operations Specialist

About the role

Pennylane is scaling rapidly and needs a senior‑level People Operations Specialist to own HR processes for its Tech and Product teams in France. You will act as the primary HR contact for roughly 300 employees, ensuring a smooth employee lifecycle and supporting the company’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Be the go‑to HR contact for ~300 employees across Tech and Product based in France.
• Own the full employee journey: onboarding, off‑boarding, contracts, amendments, certificates, and absences with high quality.
• Prepare and transmit payroll variables with precision and reliability.
• Monitor employee benefits (health insurance, pension, meal vouchers) and maximise employee usage.
• Identify inefficiencies and build solutions, including smarter Notion pages, improved workflows, or fully automated processes.
• Lead or co‑lead digitalisation of HR tools and contribute to a scalable PeopleOps infrastructure.
• Participate in strategic cross‑functional projects such as D&I initiatives, EVP development, and HR tool rollouts.
• Stay up‑to‑date with French labour law and keep compliance documentation current.

Required profile

• Solid experience as a People Ops Specialist in a fast‑growing company or startup.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast‑changing environment.
• Strong collaboration skills, partnering daily with HR Business Partners.
• Growth mindset and comfort with scaling processes.
• Proficiency in Workday and genuine curiosity about AI‑driven automation.
• Fluent in French and proficient in English.
