People Advisor

About the role

The People Advisor will be based on‑site at Maersk’s new warehouse in Denain, supporting employees and managers with HR queries to ensure a positive employee experience. This role is part of the Frontline People Organisation and works closely with warehouse leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Answer employee questions on HR policies, procedures, benefits and HRIS usage.
• Partner with warehouse leaders on absence management, disciplinary actions and grievance cases.
• Assist managers in creating and delivering site engagement plans.
• Maintain case trackers and drive timely resolution in Workday.
• Support the full HR cycle, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, job moves and exits.
• Communicate company updates through notice boards, TV screens, shift briefs and other channels.
• Review and ensure compliance of employee records, HR policies, and benefits documentation.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of French labour law and HR compliance.
• Experience handling employee relations and grievance cases.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in French and English.
• Empathy and a passion for delivering great employee experiences.

Required skills

• Workday (or other HRIS) proficiency.
