Labor and Employment Counsel Specialist (France)

About the role

Accenture Legal's Employment Law Team sits within the Compliance, Offerings, Regulatory & Ethics (CORE) function and covers advisory and litigation support on HR and employee relations, compliance projects and transactional matters. Reporting to the Employment Law Lead for FBL, this specialist works closely with key stakeholders on a varied workload focused on France.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic employment law advice to internal stakeholders on a wide range of advisory matters.
• Oversee and support litigation and pre-litigation matters with the Employee Relations team and external counsel.
• Advise on industrial relations and collective bargaining, especially collective consultation requirements.
• Contribute to internal guidelines, toolkits and packaged knowledge on employment law and business issues for the region.
• Manage and oversee external counsel relationships, including budget management.
• Stay up to date on legal developments affecting Accenture, its clients and industries and incorporate them into company practices.
• Support, promote and implement initiatives as part of the Legal team.
• Counsel, guide and train junior colleagues, educate leadership and stakeholders on legal and risk management issues, and escalate material issues to the lead.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer, preferably with prior exposure to French law through education or post-qualification experience.
• Ideally post-qualification experience in an employment law team in private practice or in-house; compliance-sector experience is also considered.
• Minimum of around 4 to 5 years post-qualification experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English and French.
• Some exposure to cross-border work or European projects preferred.
