Java Engineering Team Lead

About the role

Euronext Corporate Solutions, a division of Euronext, is looking for a Java Engineering Team Lead to join its Software Development team in Paris. You will lead a team of five or more developers, turning application storyboards and use cases into working software, with 50% of your time supporting the team technically and 50% leading the team and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of 5+ developers and turn storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
• Support the team on technical topics such as code reviews, design documents and technical architecture, and investigate client issues hands-on.
• Mentor backend and frontend engineers on architecture, design decisions and best practices, and promote knowledge sharing.
• Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable code, ensuring performance, quality and responsiveness.
• Work closely with the Product Owner to align with business requirements and meet delivery timelines.
• Prioritize and resolve client issues early, adhering to agreed SLAs.
• Conduct code reviews, contribute to feature designs, flag technical debt and document improvements.
• Implement documentation for knowledge base, onboarding and knowledge transfer.
• Follow Agile Scrum and use DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, Gitflow and IaC.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of hands-on Java development with modern Java and the Spring ecosystem.
• 2+ years as a Team Lead in a distributed team, delivering scalable microservices systems.
• Strong expertise in AWS (Cognito, Lambda, S3, SQS, RDS) and familiarity with CloudFront and WAF.
• Experience with data modelling, Liquibase and jOOQ.
• Docker and Kubernetes; React, Angular and Next.js is a plus.
• Knowledge of SSO, OAuth2/OIDC, token-based security and RBAC.
• Agile/Scrum, DevOps and Gitflow; fluent English is required.
