HR Generalist – Paris (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

This position is a true HR generalist role supporting the full employee lifecycle for the Paris office of a leading hedge fund. You will be the primary HR contact on the ground, partnering closely with senior business leaders and regional HR teams to deliver end‑to‑end HR services.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary HR point of contact for the Paris office.
• Support hiring activity and manage recruitment processes in partnership with hiring managers.
• Advise managers on performance management, employee relations, and day‑to‑day people matters.
• Lead year‑end processes, including performance reviews and compensation discussions.
• Handle sensitive conversations such as leave management and employee exits.
• Partner with stakeholders across investment and corporate functions.
• Collaborate with regional HR and operational teams to ensure consistency and alignment.
• Provide occasional support to other European locations, including travel when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR generalist or HR manager in a fast‑paced, complex environment.
• Strong employee‑relations experience and confidence supporting senior stakeholders.
• Ability to operate independently as the key HR contact in a location.
• Pragmatic, solutions‑focused, and highly responsive.
• Understanding of French employment law is beneficial.
