Head of Security

About the role

Spiko, a cash management platform founded in 2023 and backed by Index Ventures, Revolut's CEO and Wise's CTO, is hiring a Head of Security. The role owns security end to end: application, infrastructure and cloud security, identity and access, vulnerability management, pentests and AI-driven security testing, detection and incident response, and the security culture of the company. It sits within the tech team and defines its own roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Own the security roadmap and priorities, with full ownership of the function
• Lead ISO 27001 certification and DORA implementation, including policies, controls and evidence collection, working with legal and compliance
• Support security due diligence for large partners and embedded clients, answering questionnaires and presenting the security posture

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering roles
• Solid understanding of application, network and cloud security best practices
• Experience with security audits, vulnerability management and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2
• Familiarity with CI/CD security tooling (SAST, DAST, dependency and container scanning)
• Experience with automated pentesting tools or AI-driven security testing
• Comfortable working autonomously, defining your own roadmap, and in an English-speaking environment
• Nice to have: fintech or other highly regulated environments, blockchain/Web3 security knowledge

Hiring process: 30-minute screening call, 30-minute interview with the hiring manager, 45-minute technical interview with an engineer, a 2-hour hands-on session, final interviews with the founders and reference checks.
