Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our European Controlling team. You will be responsible for accurate, consistent, and timely financial reporting across eight entities in France, the Netherlands, and Germany, supporting executive decision‑making and internal governance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and business plans; conduct variance analysis and identify performance drivers.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes in accordance with IFRS/GAAP; produce management reporting packages, dashboards, and ad‑hoc analyses.
• Consolidate financial information across entities, ensure consistent accounting treatments, and maintain robust internal controls.
• Coordinate external audits, serve as primary contact for auditors, and ensure compliance with local tax and statutory requirements.
• Develop end‑to‑end business cases and financial models for investment decisions, including NPV, IRR, payback period, and scenario analysis.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, controlling, and reporting concepts under IFRS.
• Fluent English (written and verbal); French or German is a plus.
• Proactive problem‑solver with strong analytical and organizational abilities.

Required skills

• IFRS and GAAP reporting standards.
• ERP systems experience, preferably SAP.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Financial modelling, including NPV, IRR, and scenario analysis.
