Senior Financial Controller – Financial Services (Paris)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Controller to join a dynamic mid‑sized financial services firm in Paris. Working in a collaborative finance team, you will own core accounting processes, ensure high‑quality reporting, and support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with French GAAP, IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Oversee balance‑sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls.
• Support audit activities and liaise with external auditors.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to provide financial insight.
• Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements.
• Assist with regulatory and statutory reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or DSCG equivalent.
• In‑depth experience with French GAAP and IFRS.
• Proven experience in corporate/financial accounting, preferably within asset management or financial services.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and meticulous attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders.
