Customer Journey & App Analytics Apprentice

About the role

Back Market is a global marketplace for refurbished devices. Within its Data Division, the Customer Experience Analytics team supports teams across the customer journey, CRM and services. As a Customer Journey & App Analytics apprentice, you will work closely with Product, Tech, UX and Business teams to analyse customer behaviour, support experimentation and turn data into actionable insights. The apprenticeship starts in January 2027, lasts ideally 12 months (24 months to be discussed) and is based in Bordeaux.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer journeys across the website and mobile apps, from discovery and purchase to delivery, returns and after-sales service
• Prepare, run and monitor customer journey experiments, including A/B tests
• Formulate hypotheses, define success metrics, analyse results and propose recommendations
• Investigate customer behaviour across touchpoints, segments, markets and devices
• Build and maintain recurring dashboards, reports and analyses for stakeholders
• Improve event tracking plans and analytics documentation
• Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

Required profile

• Student pursuing a Master's degree or equivalent in data analytics, data science, business analytics, economics, engineering, marketing analytics or another quantitative field
• Interest in customer behaviour, product analytics, experimentation and digital products
• Clear written and spoken English
• Curious, organised and able to work in a fast-paced, international, collaborative environment
• Must already be enrolled in a French work-study programme (contrat d'alternance / apprentissage)

Required skills

• Solid SQL skills, writing, reviewing and improving analytical queries
• Bonus: experience with Amplitude, GA4, Mixpanel or similar tools
• Bonus: A/B testing, product performance analysis, mobile app analytics and event tracking plans
