Business Development Manager (M/F)

About the role

Archimed is recruiting a Business Development Manager (M/F) in Lyon, reporting to the Chief Commercial & Business Development Officer. The role covers global business development opportunities, including in-licensing and co-marketing, and involves working with internal corporate departments and global commercial teams. The contract is to be established in France.

Key responsibilities

• Support and coordinate global business development opportunities, internally and externally, and deputize for the CC&BDO in contract negotiations, BD forums, scouting and company meetings.
• Identify BD opportunities focused on in-licensing and co-marketing, and work on portfolio development, databases and strategic initiatives such as therapy areas, competitors mapping and development companies.
• Engage in key steps of the BD value chain: CDAs, initial terms, IQVIA/CI data coordination, business plans and due diligence data rooms.
• Follow up with the COO and Finance so that commercial business cases are available on time and of good quality, and align activities with departmental and corporate priorities.
• Help prepare the department's budget and monthly reports, and attend conferences, forums and third-party company discussions.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Business or equivalent.
• Experience in licensing, business development or M&A project coordination.
• International experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or health sector.
• Fluent English is mandatory; French is a plus.
• Ability to manage several projects and stakeholders, with autonomy and adaptability.

Required skills

• Good understanding of business and financial cases.
• Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills.
• Local and regional business trips (up to 20%) and presence at HQ are required.
