Business Analyst – Java Focus (Remote, France)

About the role

We are looking for a Business Analyst with a strong Java focus to join a technology‑driven team that builds advanced HR management systems. Based in France and working in a remote‑first environment, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and Java engineering teams, ensuring that payroll, attendance, pension and workforce administration solutions meet functional and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business requirements for HR, payroll and workforce management systems.
• Translate functional needs into detailed technical specifications for Java‑based development.
• Collaborate with engineers throughout design, implementation and continuous improvement cycles.
• Serve as the primary interface between business users and technical teams to guarantee shared understanding.
• Support validation, testing and compliance verification of delivered solutions.
• Identify process gaps and propose system or workflow enhancements.
• Maintain clear, consistent and traceable requirements across development sprints.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in software development or enterprise system environments.
• Solid understanding of Java‑based architectures and ability to work closely with Java engineers.
• Experience with HR, payroll or enterprise workforce management solutions is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and problem‑solving capability.
• Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
