Sterile Processing Technician (Full-time)

About the role

The Sterile Processing Technician ensures that all medical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, decontaminated, sterilized, and ready for use in patient care. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety and infection control.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and sort used, contaminated instruments and supplies.
• Manually clean items, remove waste, and operate decontamination equipment.
• Prepare and pack decontaminated supplies for sterilization.
• Monitor, operate, and test sterilization equipment.
• Inspect cleaned items to confirm proper sanitation.
• Package, label, and organize instruments into trays for surgeries and procedures.
• Deliver required equipment and instruments to operating rooms and medical carts.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, equipment maintenance, and inventory.
• Control inventory, reorder supplies, and verify expiration dates.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and vigilance.
• Passion for patient safety and infection control.
• Good judgment, critical‑thinking, and ability to work independently or in a team.

Required skills

• Familiarity with sterilization techniques.
• Operation of decontamination and sterilization equipment.
