HR Business Partner Lead Specialist – Corporate

About the role

This is an international staff position based at the IDB Group headquarters in Washington, D.C. The role leads the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) function for corporate departments and board services, providing strategic HR guidance to senior leadership while offering visa and relocation support.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with IDB management and functional leaders to shape and implement the people strategy.
• Facilitate strategic conversations to identify talent pipeline needs and design workforce and succession plans aligned with business objectives.
• Co‑lead the annual talent review, promotion exercise, and workforce call, and advise on performance case resolutions.
• Analyze and present HR insights that influence senior leadership decision‑making.
• Partner with the broader HRD ecosystem to co‑create and implement policies on organizational development, talent management, performance, compensation, and benefits.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience leading strategic human capital initiatives across the full employee lifecycle.
• Strong client‑centric orientation with a proven track record advising senior executives on complex people matters.
• Ability to translate business strategy into forward‑looking HR solutions and drive organizational design, talent management, workforce planning, performance management, and culture initiatives.
• Thought leadership in implementing institutional HR strategy and policies.
