Front End Engineer – Product Team

About the role

Alta Ares is a deep‑tech startup developing real‑time AI solutions for defence operations. We are looking for a Front‑End Engineer to join the Product team in Paris and help build and scale user‑facing applications across cloud, on‑premise and edge deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑quality web interfaces using ReactJS and modern frontend frameworks.
• Lead the creation and evolution of a coherent design system and reusable component library together with the UI/UX designer.
• Integrate front‑end applications with backend APIs, data services and middleware, and contribute to backend code when needed.
• Ensure performance, reliability and resilience of applications in real‑time, batch and constrained connectivity scenarios.
• Write unit, integration and end‑to‑end tests, conduct code reviews and uphold code‑quality standards.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on frontend development.
• Background in SaaS or scale‑up environments and ability to work in a small, fast‑moving team.
• Product‑oriented mindset with attention to UX consistency and visual quality.
