Freelance Transaction Monitoring Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a freelance Transaction Monitoring Analyst to join Swan’s Transaction Monitoring team in Paris. You will work closely with Risk and Operations to proactively monitor client transactions, detect suspicious activity and protect the company from fraud, money‑laundering and reputational risks.

Key responsibilities

• Process alerts for card, SEPA and international transactions across individual, freelancer and business accounts.
• Communicate with end‑clients and partners when suspicious activity is detected to collect supporting documentation.
• Analyze and respond to customer requests that may involve fraud victims.
• Handle external legal requests from authorities or banking partners.
• Identify trends and report them to the second‑line team to improve scoring rules.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in AML or compliance, preferably in a fintech, payment provider, bank or consulting environment.
• Strong knowledge of French law and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent analytical abilities with attention to detail and strict adherence to processes.
• Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Curious mindset and flexibility to adapt to evolving requirements.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Experience with Forest (CRM) or similar customer‑relationship tools.
• Proficiency in Zendesk or comparable ticketing systems.
