Director, Corporate Coverage

About the role

As a senior member of the Corporate Coverage team at ANZ, you will be responsible for building and deepening strategic relationships with priority institutional clients across Europe. The role focuses on origination, leveraging ANZ Europe’s passporting capabilities to expand the corporate franchise and support the ANZ 2030 Strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and convert a high‑quality pipeline of new‑to‑bank clients across European markets.
• Design and execute client coverage strategies that increase wallet share and deliver sustainable revenue growth.
• Lead complex client engagements by coordinating Transaction Banking, Markets, Corporate Finance, Credit, Risk and Legal expertise.
• Maintain strong portfolio discipline, exercising commercial and risk judgement while meeting regulatory and governance standards.

Required profile

• Proven Institutional Banking experience with a track record of managing complex corporate relationships and originating new business.
• Deep knowledge of European corporates, corporate banking products and financing needs, especially in Spanish, Dutch or Nordic markets.
• Strong commercial acumen, credit and risk management capability, and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Established networks across European corporate, banking and advisory communities and fluency in a relevant European language.
