Chief Procurement Officer

About the role

We are a fast‑growing international renewable energy developer and independent power producer seeking a Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) to lead procurement, supply chain and sourcing strategy across our expanding portfolio of utility‑scale solar, wind and battery energy storage projects.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a procurement strategy aligned with growth targets and project pipeline.
• Develop category strategies for solar modules, inverters, wind turbines, BESS systems, EPC & BoP contracts, O&M services and logistics.
• Establish governance, compliance standards and sourcing policies to optimise total cost of ownership.
• Build and manage executive relationships with Tier‑1 OEMs, EPCs and strategic suppliers; lead multi‑year framework agreements.
• Oversee procurement execution from development through commercial operation date, ensuring bankable contracts with warranties, liquidated damages and performance guarantees.
• Mitigate geopolitical and supply‑chain risks through dual‑sourcing and resilience strategies.
• Embed ESG, sustainability and supplier governance standards into all procurement processes.
• Build and lead a high‑performing procurement organisation, implementing dashboards, SRM processes and KPI frameworks.

Required profile

• 15+ years of procurement and supply‑chain experience, with at least 7 years in renewable energy (solar, wind, BESS) or related sectors.
• Proven track record negotiating major OEM and EPC agreements at GW scale.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to influence cross‑functional teams (Engineering, Construction, Legal, Finance).
• Deep understanding of ESG compliance, trade regulations and EU policy developments.
