Year 5 Classroom Teacher (Catholic Primary School)

About the role

SFX School is seeking an experienced Year 5 classroom teacher to join our Catholic primary community starting Term 3 2026. The role supports students’ academic and faith development within a supportive, values‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Catholic faith‑based education and guide students through their Sacramental journey.
• Apply the MACS Vision for Instruction in daily teaching practice.
• Plan and implement engaging learning programs that meet diverse student needs.
• Collaborate with the Middle School team to drive Mathematics and English instruction.
• Provide explicit teaching in Mathematics and English, fostering reasoning and problem‑solving skills.
• Promote literacy improvement through targeted reading and writing cycles.
• Design inquiry‑based learning experiences that connect students to society and the wider world.
• Utilise specialist classes, LSO support, and intervention sessions for enhanced student outcomes.

Required profile

• Passion for teaching and enthusiasm for student growth.
• Commitment to Catholic values and community life.
• Familiarity with the MACS Vision for Instruction.
• Ability to plan engaging, student‑centred lessons.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to work with colleagues.
• V.I.T Registration (Primary) required; accreditation to teach Religious Education is a plus.
• Three professional referees, including the last two principals.
