Warehouse Operations Manager

About the role

JD.com is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to lead lean improvement initiatives across its warehouse, transport, and delivery stations. You will own projects from planning through execution and post‑project evaluation, ensuring operational excellence and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end lean improvement projects, coordinating resources, managing risks, and delivering results.
• Diagnose processes using VSM, Kaizen, 5S, PDCA and eliminate waste, bottlenecks, and quality risks.
• Analyze cost, P&L and efficiency data (cost per order, labor, transport, service provider costs) to identify abnormalities and drive cost‑saving initiatives.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams (operations, finance, IT, procurement, 3PLs) to ensure timely execution and resolve issues.
• Prepare management reports, project updates and develop reusable templates to sustain a continuous‑improvement culture.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in project management, logistics, lean improvement or cost analysis within supply‑chain, warehouse or transport operations.
• Strong knowledge of project‑management methodologies (PMP, Agile, PRINCE2) and lean tools.
• Proven ability to drive cross‑functional execution, manage risks and communicate effectively with frontline teams and partners.
• Self‑starter with a hands‑on mindset, capable of managing projects from diagnosis to implementation.

Required skills

• Lean tools: Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen, 5S, PDCA, Root Cause Analysis
• Project‑management methodologies: PMP, Agile, PRINCE2
• Data analysis: Excel, PowerPoint; Power BI, SQL, Python (preferred)
• Familiarity with logistics cost structures
