VP Large Scale Deals – Global Music Distribution

About the role

Believe is seeking a Vice President to lead large‑scale distribution and licensing deals across its global music portfolio. The VP will own the end‑to‑end process of originating, structuring, negotiating and executing strategic agreements with labels, catalogue owners and other rights‑holders, ensuring they are supported by an effective operating model that drives digital monetisation and sustainable profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute an acquisition strategy to build a pipeline of catalogue owners and rights‑holders across regions, genres and market segments.
• Develop a global partnership strategy aligned with Believe’s distribution capabilities, prioritising high‑impact collaborations in the US and other growth markets.
• Lead confidential deal processes, negotiate terms, model financial outcomes and secure internal alignment.
• Monitor competitive landscape, including independent distributors, major labels and fund‑backed platforms, and adapt strategy accordingly.
• Position Believe competitively in multi‑bid environments, balancing deal attractiveness with disciplined capital deployment.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level network within the music industry, especially with labels, rights‑holders and catalogue owners.
• Proven track record of originating and closing large‑scale distribution or licensing agreements.
• Strong strategic thinking with ability to analyse market trends, valuation benchmarks and investment flows.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with senior decision‑makers and ability to represent Believe as a long‑term strategic partner.
