Technology M&A Associate

About the role

Clipperton, an investment bank founded in 2003 with offices in Paris, London, Berlin, Munich, Amsterdam and New York, advises entrepreneurs, corporates and investors on strategic M&A, private equity and private placements. It is hiring a Technology M&A Associate in Paris on a permanent contract, starting as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Support the teams on technology M&A transactions from day one
• Conduct market and competitor analyses
• Help the teams pitch for and win new, challenging mandates
• Prepare company valuations using trading multiples, DCF and LBO analysis
• Build target and investor lists

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in investment banking, strategic consultancy, audit or the technology industry (in a leadership role)
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance and accounting
• Strong academic record, preferably from a Tier 1 European business or engineering school
• Excellent spoken and written French and English (mandatory)
• Interest in entrepreneurship and technology; previous digital or tech-focused experience appreciated
