System Architect – Automotive E/E Systems

About the role

As a System Architect you will join Bosch Engineering’s Systems Engineering team in Saint‑Ouen‑sur‑Seine, shaping complex vehicle functions such as ADAS, Powertrain or Chassis. You will translate high‑level customer requirements into robust, MBSE‑based system designs ready for implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve systems engineering methodologies, select tools and establish MBSE best practices.
• Analyse customer needs, model use cases and scenarios for target vehicle functions.
• Decompose subsystem requirements, integrating functional safety, cybersecurity and regulatory constraints.
• Model the system architecture using MBSE, managing configurations and variants.
• Design the overall E/E topology, set system boundaries and develop on‑board communication networks (CAN, Ethernet, FlexRay).
• Act as the primary technical contact for customers and internal stakeholders, guaranteeing architectural integrity.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (systems engineers, software/hardware architects, V&V) to maintain a shared architectural vision.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in electrical, software, automotive or related engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering or automotive embedded systems development.
• Strong knowledge of automotive standards (ISO 26262, GSR 2) and awareness of functional safety, cybersecurity and real‑time constraints.
• Fluent in French and English; German is a plus.
• Ability to work agilely across diverse projects and international teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SysML and tools such as Rhapsody, MagicDraw/Cameo, DOORS/DNG, System Composer.
• Deep understanding of on‑board communication protocols: CAN, Ethernet, FlexRay.
• Experience with MBSE methodologies and configuration/variant management.
• Practical knowledge of functional safety and cybersecurity standards.
