Software Engineer (Paris/London)

About the role

Spendesk is looking for a talented Software Engineer to help shape the future of spend management. You will own both functional and technical aspects of our products, working across the full feature lifecycle from specification to maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain spend‑management and payment‑processing systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools as a core part of the workflow.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver high‑quality features.
• Lead the design of performant, intuitive user interfaces.
• Contribute to technical vision and drive complex project implementation.
• Improve engineering processes, tools, and systems for scalability.
• Mentor and inspire fellow engineers.

Required profile

• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• 2+ years of software development experience (5+ years for senior roles).
• Proven track record of delivering scalable products.
• Experience using AI tools to support development.
• Ability to translate business concepts into technical solutions.
• Enthusiasm for fast‑paced environments and continuous growth.
• Customer‑centric mindset and alignment with Spendesk’s values.
