Software Engineer I – Identity Verification

About the role

As a Software Engineer I you will join Checkout.com’s Identity Verification team, building innovative products that verify the identities of individuals and businesses worldwide. You will work with cutting‑edge orchestration, generative AI and computer‑vision technologies to deliver production‑ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop complex, scalable micro‑service applications for identity verification challenges.
• Own the full lifecycle of new and existing features, from concept through deployment and production monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with Product, DevOps, Data Science and Data teams to ensure end‑to‑end delivery.
• Champion technical excellence, knowledge sharing and cross‑team learning within the data organization.
• Write clean, maintainable, extensible and testable code for high‑impact systems.
• Build, operate and maintain services with a focus on resilience and reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong software development background with experience in building production‑grade services.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
