Software Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure

About the role
Scaleway is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Cloud Product Engineering team. You will help design and build core IaaS and PaaS components that enable reliable, sovereign cloud services at scale.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop new IaaS/PaaS products from scratch, including APIs, backend services and worker processes.
- Add features and improve existing cloud offerings.
- Increase test coverage and enhance code resilience.
- Write clear technical documentation for product usage and APIs.
- Ensure code maintainability and scalability.
- Participate in on‑call “Run” rotations and resolve customer‑facing incidents.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Front‑end and Documentation teams.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and propose innovative solutions.
Required profile
- Curious, methodical and strong interest in cloud infrastructure.
- Initiative‑driven, able to propose and defend technical solutions.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Comfortable writing technical documentation in English.
Required skills
- Proficiency in at least one programming language.
