Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

About the role

Scaleway is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join its growing SRE team. Reporting to the Lead SRE, you will help ensure the reliability and performance of our cloud products for customers worldwide, working in a fast‑evolving environment that values automation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Create and optimise tools, scripts and documentation that enable rapid identification, diagnosis and remediation of production incidents.
• Troubleshoot high‑impact issues in collaboration with multiple engineering teams.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and mitigate incidents in real time.
• Contribute to the evolution of observability, monitoring and alerting systems.
• Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual operational work.

Required profile

• Strong development background in Go, Python or Rust.
• Solid experience with Linux (Ubuntu/Debian) and scripting (bash, Python).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot production failures and a passion for automation.
• Good understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, load‑balancing, IPv6, BGP and network virtualization.
• Fluent written and spoken English, capable of producing technical documentation.
