Senior Legal Counsel - Data Privacy Officer

About the role

As Senior Legal Counsel – Data Privacy Officer you will lead the Nestlé Waters & Premium Beverages global data privacy programme, ensuring GDPR and other regulatory compliance, acting as Data Protection Officer and trusted advisor to business stakeholders. The role reports to the Head of General Counsel NWPB in Paris.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain data protection policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
• Provide practical legal advice on privacy, digital law, AI and data‑driven projects.
• Support projects from the design stage, ensuring compliance through Privacy by Design and DPIA processes.
• Draft, review and negotiate data protection clauses, agreements and related contracts.
• Conduct privacy audits and monitor remediation plans.
• Manage personal data breaches, investigations and corrective actions.
• Lead interactions with regulatory authorities, including CNIL, and deliver training to strengthen privacy culture.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in data protection, privacy and digital law within multinational organisations or law firms.
• Strong expertise in GDPR compliance, privacy governance, risk management and regulatory investigations.
• DPO and/or CIPP/E certification is a strong plus.
• Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• High integrity, autonomy and ability to operate in complex environments.
