Senior Financial Controller

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing digital assets and fintech firm, is seeking a Senior Financial Controller for its Paris office. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will oversee monthly and annual reporting across multiple international entities and support group consolidation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts for several group entities.
• Support the group consolidation process for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Maintain a strong internal‑controls framework for all financial transactions and reporting.
• Manage bank accounts, cash‑flow, payables and receivables.
• Review and approve payments in line with “four‑eyes” control principles.
• Develop, enhance, and document accounting policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and tax obligations in relevant jurisdictions.
• Assist with regulatory and licensing applications as needed.
• Lead year‑end statutory reporting and external audit processes.
• Liaise with external auditors, advisers and tax providers.
• Contribute to finance transformation initiatives and broader business growth projects.

Required profile

• Qualified French Accountant (DSCG, DEC or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial control or a similar role.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of French GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience managing external audit engagements.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance environments in financial services.
• Experience with VAT reporting; French R&D tax claim experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with accounting systems, ideally NetSuite.
• Advanced Excel and/or Google Workspace skills.
• Fluent English communication skills.
