Senior Financial Controller

About the role

The Senior Financial Controller will join a fast‑growing digital assets and fintech firm in Paris, reporting to the Group Financial Controller. The role provides end‑to‑end oversight of monthly and annual reporting across multiple international entities, while supporting group consolidation and strategic finance initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts for several group entities.
• Support the group consolidation process for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
• Ensure all financial transactions and reporting are performed within a robust internal‑controls framework.
• Manage bank accounts, cash‑flow activities, and oversee payables and receivables.
• Review and approve payments in line with “four‑eyes” control principles.
• Develop, enhance and document accounting policies and operational procedures.
• Guarantee compliance with statutory, regulatory and tax obligations across relevant jurisdictions.
• Assist with regulatory and licensing applications when required.
• Lead year‑end statutory reporting and external audit processes.
• Liaise with external auditors, advisers and tax providers.
• Contribute to finance transformation projects and broader business growth initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified French accountant (DSCG, DEC or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial control or a similar role.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of French GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience managing external audit engagements.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance environments in financial services.
• Experience with VAT reporting and French R&D tax claims is a plus.
• Proficiency with accounting systems, preferably NetSuite.
• Advanced Excel and/or Google Workspace skills.
• Fluent English communication skills.
