Rotor System Design Engineer – EC175

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking an EC175 Rotor System Design Engineer to join the Rotors Systems department at its Marignane site near Marseille. You will work in a high‑tech, inclusive environment, contributing to the design, testing and certification of helicopter rotor systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design rotor system architectures, create 3D models and detailed drawings while considering functional, kinematic, mechanical strength and industrial constraints.
• Ensure quality and relevance of rotor test requests, support laboratory and flight‑test activities.
• Manage equipment suppliers, oversee qualification, documentation and industrialisation, and monitor project KPIs (OTD, OTC, OTQ).
• Prepare and deliver certification documents (technical description, FMECA, DDP, test conclusions, maintenance documents) for authority approval.

Required profile

• 5‑year degree in Mechanics, Design, Dynamics of structures or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in aeronautics with general aircraft knowledge.
• Proficiency in English (B2‑C1) and fluent French.

Required skills

• Advanced use of CAD software, preferably CATIA (Vol, Surf, Composite).
• Dimensioning and analysis of composite materials.
