Regulatory Compliance Officer (AML/CFT, MiCA)

About the role

Bitstack, a crypto-native bank and CASP authorised under MiCA, is looking for a Regulatory Compliance Officer to report to the Head of Compliance. The role oversees the company's compliance framework, including regulatory monitoring, internal policies, liaison with authorities and compliance risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor regulatory developments affecting CASPs (MiCA, DORA, TFR), assess their impact and share updates with teams and management
• Draft, update and coordinate the approval of compliance policies and procedures
• Act as TRACFIN reporting officer: review escalated cases, file STRs via ERMES and respond to TRACFIN requests
• Handle requests from public authorities, implement asset freezes and submit declarations to the DG Trésor
• Prepare regulatory reports (ACPR AML/CFT questionnaire, AMF reporting, annual internal control report)
• Contribute to the AML/CFT risk classification, monitor corrective action plans and prepare for audits and inspections
• Provide compliance input to Tech and Product teams, review marketing communications and support compliance tools such as KYC, screening and the Travel Rule
• Design and deliver regulatory training, including the annual AML/CFT programme

Required profile

• Master's degree (Bac+5) in banking and financial law, compliance, finance or a related field
• At least 3 years of compliance experience in a CASP, payment institution, credit institution, fintech or consulting firm
• Proven experience preparing and filing STRs, and liaising with the AMF, ACPR and TRACFIN
• Excellent drafting and analytical skills, able to explain complex topics clearly in French and English
• Attention to detail, discretion, autonomy and good prioritisation
• A professional certification (AMF, CCSF, ACAMS or equivalent) is a plus

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the French and European AML/CFT framework; knowledge of MiCA is a significant advantage
• Ability to work with technical and product teams
