Quant Research Intern

About the role

Euronext Paris is looking for a Quant Intern to join its Quant Research team. The internship starts in January 2027 and lasts about six months, based in Paris. You will be supervised by a senior Quant, with bi-weekly meetings with the head of Research.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a new research topic on market microstructure, such as behavioural analysis of algorithmic traders, orderbook dynamics across trading venues, research on alpha signals or new trading mechanisms.
• Focus mainly on European equities, with some work on FX and commodities, using high-frequency data.
• Write a research report to ensure the robustness and consistency of the results.

Required profile

• Top academic background in science, from leading engineering schools and top universities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a taste for applied research.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly, verbally and in writing.
• Team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Fluent English; French is a plus.

Required skills

• Solid experience with programming languages in Python.
• Solid knowledge of probability and statistics.
