Python Software Engineer

About the role

Cafeyn is looking for a Senior Python Software Engineer to build and maintain the backend services that power personalized reading experiences for millions of users. You will work on high‑performance systems for recommendations, search and real‑time content delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Python services that power recommendations and search functionality.
• Build and expose robust APIs consumed by Cafeyn’s consumer products.
• Participate in architecture decisions and ensure scalability of low‑latency, real‑time data pipelines.
• Write clean, testable code, conduct code reviews and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists and infrastructure teams to turn models into customer‑facing features.
• Maintain technical documentation and monitor service reliability under high traffic.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Python and API development.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with product, data and infrastructure teams.
