About the role
The Senior and Caregiver Platform of the Bordeaux City Social Services (CCAS) is seeking a qualified psychologist to join its Caregiver Support unit. The role focuses on providing psychological assistance, information, and orientation to family caregivers of elderly and disabled individuals.
Key responsibilities
- Offer individual and group psychological support to caregivers.
- Conduct assessments to identify caregivers' mental health needs.
- Provide information, guidance, and referrals to appropriate social and health resources.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop tailored support plans.
- Participate in outreach activities and educational workshops for caregivers.
Required profile
- Licensed psychologist (master’s degree or equivalent) with experience in adult or geriatric mental health.
- Demonstrated ability to work with families and caregivers in a public service context.
- Strong communication and empathy skills.
- Familiarity with French social and health care systems is a plus.
