Production Supervisor – Aerospace Testing Laboratory

About the role

Element Materials Technology is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily operations of its aerospace testing laboratory in Toulouse. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will ensure high‑quality test delivery, manage capacity, and drive continuous improvement in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and balance testing activities to meet customer deadlines and laboratory capacity.
• Monitor KPIs such as On‑Time Delivery, Turnaround Time, quality metrics and productivity; report results to management.
• Support invoicing processes and contribute to customer satisfaction.
• Lead, coach and supervise laboratory staff, handling scheduling, time tracking, training and performance reviews.
• Provide technical guidance on testing, analysis and result interpretation; assist with complex customer inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, company procedures, industry standards and NADCAP accreditation.
• Lead Lean initiatives (5S, QRQC, SQCDP) and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Participate in internal and external audits and manage corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Materials, Metallurgy, Chemistry or related).
• Proven experience leading teams in manufacturing, laboratory or industrial production environments.
• Previous exposure to materials testing or laboratory operations is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and performance‑management systems.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
