Product Design Engineer (Advanced Concepts & Implementation)

About the role

We are an ingredient brand based in Monaco, developing patented impact‑absorption technology for helmets used in elite sport, motorsport, industrial safety and defence. Following a recent acquisition, we are hiring two Product Design Engineers – one focused on advanced concepts and one on implementation – to turn material innovations into market‑ready products.

Key responsibilities

• Build early‑stage prototypes and testable product configurations from new material technologies (Advanced Concepts role).
• Define and run validation programmes together with the Test and Validation team.
• Lead or contribute to internal innovation projects aligned to a 2–3‑year technology roadmap.
• Conduct market scanning, competitor teardowns and identify opportunities.
• Hand off de‑risked concepts to the NPD team with full documentation.
• Manage integration projects from scope definition through to customer sign‑off (Implementation role).
• Work directly with client engineering and design teams on product adaptations.
• Brief and review a China‑based CAD engineering team across multiple parallel projects.
• Build and maintain CAD libraries of standardized components and integration modules.
• Act as the technical voice in commercial meetings alongside the business development team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in concept development, prototyping or delivering engineered products as a Product Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or similar.
• Solid CAD skills and hands‑on experience with plastics, injection moulding and foam manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work with ambiguous briefs and incomplete data.
• Right to work in France; EU passport holders strongly preferred.

What we offer

• Base salary €50,000–55,000 gross per year (depending on experience).
