Philosophy Quality Assurance Lead (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Philosophy Quality Assurance Lead to manage the quality and consistency of philosophy‑focused AI training data. This remote, contract position will involve reviewing AI‑generated philosophical content, evaluating trainer work, and ensuring adherence to detailed project rubrics.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee quality, consistency, and trainer performance across philosophy‑focused AI training projects.
• Review AI‑generated philosophy content and trainer/QA output against project guidelines.
• Provide precise written feedback and ensure contributors follow expected quality standards.
• Assess work for conceptual accuracy, argument structure, logical validity, philosophical context, clarity, nuance, formatting, and instruction‑following.
• Identify recurring quality issues, communicate updates to trainers and QAs, and support onboarding of new contributors.
• Maintain documentation and help reactivate contributors who are not working consistently.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Philosophy, Ethics, Logic, Political Theory, Humanities, Religious Studies, Classics, Cognitive Science or a closely related field.
• Strong command of English for following guidelines, team communication, and written feedback.
• 3+ years of experience in philosophy research, teaching, writing, editing, academic or ethics review, or related humanities workflows.
• Deep understanding of philosophical methods, logic, argument analysis, ethics, epistemology, metaphysics, philosophy of mind, political philosophy, and history of philosophy.
• Ability to evaluate content against detailed rubrics and spot issues such as straw‑man arguments, invalid inference, conceptual confusion, oversimplification, unsupported claims, false equivalence, or misrepresentation of philosophers’ views.
