Ocean Import Agent – Le Havre (CDI)

About the role

Expeditors is seeking an Ocean Import Agent to join its Le Havre team on a permanent basis. You will play a key part in managing inbound ocean shipments, ensuring smooth coordination between carriers, clients, and internal departments.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process import documentation and freight receipts.
• Track inbound shipments and organize collection and delivery of goods.
• Prepare and issue transport documents and ensure timely processing of ocean imports.
• Maintain and update records in the operational system.
• Communicate with clients, carriers, and the Expeditors network.
• Adhere to KPIs, regulatory standards, and company procedures.
• Invoice customers accurately and dispatch invoices promptly.
• Provide complete documentation to the customs department.
• Request quotes from partner carriers and create competitive pricing offers for clients.

Required profile

• 6 months to 1 year of related experience or equivalent education.
• College degree (minimum Bac+2) in Transport, International Trade, or Logistics.
• Knowledge of global logistics and ocean documentation processes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Fluent in English.
