NetOps - Network Engineer, Infrastructure & Cloud

About the role

LSEG is looking for a skilled NetOps Network Engineer to join its LCH SA Infrastructure & Cloud team, which provides technical resources to Post Trade Business Services. The role is central to designing, deploying and maintaining resilient, scalable and highly available systems, working closely with infrastructure teams, operations and partners. It is a Senior Associate position based in Paris.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, tune and administer the infrastructure layer, propose application system changes and improve the whole service lifecycle from design to operation.
• Design, implement and validate Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity strategies for network infrastructure, meeting RTO/RPO objectives.
• Manage and optimise network interconnects with cloud providers, telecom carriers, exchanges and partners.
• Lead support services before launch: design consulting, feature development, capacity planning and launch reviews.
• Mentor colleagues on availability, performance, automation and incident response, and monitor availability, latency and system health once services are live.
• Plan, design and implement network infrastructure (DHCP/DNS/IPAM, firewalls, load balancers, time protocol, DNS, proxy) and troubleshoot network applications and services.
• Use source code management, test changes in test environments and resolve customer networking issues on cloud and on-premises networks.
• Work on-call rotation shifts.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years as a Network Engineer, SRE or similar role in regulated or highly available environments.
• Experience planning and designing large-scale networks and operating in a regulated environment with security constraints (at least 2 years).
• At least 5 years in systems monitoring and capacity management.

Required skills

• VMware and Cisco switches, network security, and cloud networking (IS-IS, VXLAN, BGP, EVPN, network virtualisation) for at least 5 years.
• VMware (at least 2 years) and cloud expertise in AWS, Azure or Google (at least 3 years) is a plus.
• Scripting (Python, Bash) and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) for at least 3 years.
• Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous.
