Mid-Level Android Mobile Developer (IoT)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Mid-Level Android Mobile Developer to join Netatmo’s R&D team in Boulogne-Billancourt. You will design, develop and maintain Android applications that connect our smart-home IoT devices to users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with embedded and cloud teams to define technical aspects of new products and features (≈60% of time).
• Continuously improve existing tools, libraries and the overall software platform (≈20%).
• Enhance the Android user experience, release regular updates and ensure privacy-by-design (≈20%).
• Deliver high-quality code used by hundreds of thousands of customers.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong interest in IoT and smart-home ecosystems.

Required skills

• Kotlin and Java (with some legacy C).
• MVVM, Jetpack Compose, MVP architectures.
• Dependency injection with Hilt.
• CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI).
• Wireless communication: Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, BLE, Matter.
• WebRTC, Bonjour, OkHttp, WebSocket, Stripe SDK, Lottie.
• Testing frameworks: Mockito, Robolectric, UI Automator.
• Tools: GitLab, Zeplin, Jira, Confluence, Teams.
