About the role

The Centre Hospitalier Général de Saint‑Nazaire is seeking an experienced psychiatrist to work primarily in its inpatient mental health services. The position combines clinical duties within the hospital, outpatient activities in community mental health centers, and participation in specialized programs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment for adult patients across 84 inpatient beds and 29 day‑hospital places.
• Participate in on‑call duties (approximately two night shifts per month and one weekend per quarter).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in units such as admission, rehabilitation, crisis intervention, and mobile psychiatry.
• Attend multidisciplinary case review meetings and contribute to service planning and operational meetings.
• Engage in community‑based activities in medical‑psychological centers (CMP) and therapeutic day‑care units (CATTP) as defined by the contract split.

Required profile

• Medical doctorate (MD) and a recognized specialty diploma in general psychiatry (DES).
• Registered medical practitioner authorized to work under the supervision of the chief of service and pole chief.
• Willingness to allocate time according to one of three possible splits (e.g., 60 % inpatient, 30 % outpatient, 10 % specialized programs).
